You know, the ones that say "Congratulations, you've just won such and such." Or, "Congratulations, you're the 10 millionth visitor to this site!" Do you actually get something, or is it just a scam?

Most of these are Phishing scams to steal your identity just don't click em its safer that way.

You click on the banner and then they tell you to fill out some stupid survey and then all these different offers come up and they ask you to click on at least five to sign up for. each of those five that you choose ask you for your credit card number and some you even have to pay for! Even if you do everything that it tells you to do to wim the free gift, you NEVER actually get the gift! It is a complete SCAM!

scam, scam, scam. and, you will find a ton of stuff that's been downloaded to your 'puter without your knowlege. if you have adaware, run it at least 3-4 times a week if you're on the net a lot. it will remove all the crapware.

nothing is free.....when u click those banner ads, u automatically open ur self up for intrusion. it provides spammers access to your computer....you do the math. plus, clicking any type of spam confirms your addy is current and active, insuring further infiltration to your inbox. note:when u get a pop up don't click on the 'X' to remove it,....click>alt+4 this will close out any unwanted programs.

Scam. You will be asked to fill out millions surveys and magazine subscriptions. Once you give out your e-mail, you will get a million junk mails sent to you. Don't do it.

a scam for you to click da button, and get some virus on your computer, or when you click on it, your computer might start to work slower!

.......it links to the company thats advertising. Then it'll say you have to sign up to something, then you probably wont get much. Don't bother with them!

you get nothing .. they just ask you fill in your email ID and other details .. build up their database and sell it to e-marketing companies ... result .. you get lot of spams
