We have dial-up internet (broadband is not available here). The computer is fairly new, and when it is first turned on, it connects to the dial-up internet on the first try. The problem is that once we go offline, it is impossible to get back online, except by restarting the computer. This is getting very annoying! An error message comes up, saying that "The remote computer does not respond".

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this? We have tried various settings but have not been able to straighten it out.

On my satellite connection my upload speed is about 50k/sec vs. a download speed of 500k/sec. I measured my dialup speed and I get an upload speed of 300k/sec and a download speed between 30-46k/sec.
If you average the upload and download speeds of each of the two methods, the “broadband” is only about 1 ½ times as fast as dialup, not the 10x faster than dialup advertised.

I upgraded to the beta version and now all I get i slow pauses even wheh typing. also I tried to sort out my contact and its a complete pain.

If I could export my ocntacts I would just run into yahoo, which I only started recently , any suggestions

I have a D-Link wireless internet. and the port wont connet read any conections from the main box. It just seeminly stoped working for no reason.

i have just downloaded and installed msn plus live,,, and its great, but i keep getting pop ups,,, both on msn and yahoo, pop up blocker is enabled and on its highest setting so why are they still getting through, what can i do to stop them... also i am not the only person i know with this problem

We made 10 minute videos with our digital camera and we've already managed to burn them in our computer folder. But somehow, whenever we play it the sounds don't come out! Somebody please tell me what to do so I can get to hear what we say!
