I was considering building a new computer. However its been awhile since i built my own system, back in the day if you had say an athlonxp 3000+ with a 333mhz fsb you would buy pc2700 memory. Nowadays you have all these different types of ddr2 ram, so lets say i had an athlon 64X2 4200 with a 2000mhz fsb how would i figure out what type of ram to use so my ram would be in sync with my processor? thanks for the help

I recently purchased a desktop computer and wanted to install the professional sound card into a PCI slot. The computer only had 2 PCI slots and they were being used by a serial/ parallel coms card and a Dual Screen display card. I asked the company that sold it to me why there are only 2 PCI slots and they told me that the PCI slot is obsolete? I find this hard to believe. Is there a way to expand the number of PCI slots?

Thanks
