I want to spend about $100-$150 on one, it has to have good, smooth game performance and great graphics as well but performance matters more.

Anyone know of a video card that meets that criteria?

My nano is completely dead. The buttons don't work, the screen doesn't work, and the boot up doesn't work. My question is: can I make it an external harddrive w/o being able to open the files? It is unrecognized by windows, but shows up in management. What drivers or files can I get to fix this.

NOTES: I have the latest itunes and ipod updater.
It shows up in the pop up window, but not in "My Computer".
IT IS DEAD...except for the usb and harddrive.
I just want a harddrive, not an ipod.

I would like a reliable b/w printer.am looking to spend around £60. A friend recommended the hp1020 but looks like the toners for the 1020 are almost the same price as the printer itself. Any bright ideas on good feasible laserjets even if its not HP (am biased towards hp) need one asap for my uni assignments...cheers

i use to see what level users were - points this week - etc by doing this holding mouse over users picture
but can"t now

When I play Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 the game freezes after 20 minutes. My laptop doesn't have 512 MB RAM, so that's probably why, but I was playing Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 and that game also froze. That game takes only 32 MB RAM, and my laptop's RAM is 446 MB, or something random like that. What is going on?

I recently bought and installed a new DVD-RW drive, Pioneer DVR-112D. It's the only drive plugged into my secondary IDE channel and it's set to master. The computer recognizes it, its name is listed in device manager and everything... but it cannot read or write CDs and DVDs. For example, when i try to play an audio CD in windows media player, the tracklist comes up with the songnames and evertying in the playlist window, but then it says "Windows Media Player cannot read the CD. The disc might be dirty or damaged or the CD drive might be malfunctioning." When I try to burn a CD using Nero, it says "Burn process failed" and the blank CD is then ruined. I've tried firmware update, but it does not help.

I also recently bought and returned a Sony DRU-820A burner and ran into similar problems, which probably means the problem is not the drives but my computer.

Do you think a BIOS upgrade may solve the problem?

The school I am attending this fall reccomends a latitude over the inspirion model because they say that the parts used in them are more durable and reliable. Is this true? Or is it just to make you feel more confident when spending more money on a computer? Also should I consider other brands? I bought a Toshiba and refuse to buy from them again, it has been a nightmare.

Can you use an adapter to connect the moniter through COM A or B port? Or a USB port. Do all MOBO's have On Board Video or do they have to specify it? I know most have On Board Sound but I haven't seen On Board Video on mine. This is a MOBO that a few years old. Someone said to connect to On Board Video instead of a Graphics card. As I am having trouble figuring out a AGP problem.
