ive got an account and so does my brother and sister on the same computer, everyt6ime i sign into my account it goes into someone elses and they arnt even sighned in? why does this happen ??? how can i stop it????

Will PCI-Express video cards work properly with regular PCI buses?

Basically, I'm looking to upgrade from my NVIDIA GeForce 5900 FX to a newer, more powerful graphics card. However, my motherboard uses PCI, and I'm a bit confused with it. Can newer cards (like the 6 and 7 series GeForce cards, or what have you that utilize PCI-express) work with the old buses? And if so, will they still offer noticeable performance increase?

Buying a new motherboard really isn't something I'm capable of doing, so I'd appreciate any help at all in this. If they don't work at all, I'd also really appreciate help in finding a relatively strong PCI card.

Web page can be displayed for only 5 min after turning on computer?

after that, any link or web page I want to open gives: page can not be displayed error. The computer is infected with some kind of virus. I have to shut down the computer for everything to be normal again for another 5 minutes, then the error comes back again. This is my friend computer and he is a medical profession. He can not lose his data on this computer. Help!!!

how do u play music on directly on your computer?

okay, i hvae a guitar and i want to play it on my laptop...how would i record it onto my laptop without me having to record it with a player and then out it on my laptop, i want to play directly into my laptop...how would i do this?

Non-recursive In-Order Binary Search Tree Traversal Algorithm?

I can't figure out the algorithm to traverse a BST non-recursively. I know it involves a Stack, but I can't figure out where to go from there without using recursion. Help? I'm looking especially for one in somewhat specific pseudo-code - specifically I'm implementing this in Java.

Homepage problem?

why is it that even though i set my homepage to yahoo.com, firefox doesn't take me there when it opens. it takes me to a blank page. I have to push the home button for it to take me there.

I have popups disabled but they still come up. Help?

There is a host of web urls in my Favorites menu of IE but they do not appear in my Favorites folder. I did not put them there and I cant find a way to delete them. The same urls appear on each users settings. Urls are for online gaming, viagra, and all sorts of other stuff.

Pop-ups started to appear when I opened a virus-scanned mail from a friend. It contained a .gif called "amish" and a message to say that I had downloaded the "amish virus". An internet search revealed that this was just a hoax and Microsoft help said I should delete the mail. Which I have done.

I have disabled all toolbars except for Yahoo. I have run Webroot Spysweeper, Norton System Works and McAfee Adware removal.

If I can locate the file where these urls are maybe the pop-ups will go away but I dont know where it is.

Please can anyone help?!

Why doesn't my WLAN work?

My computer is right next to my router. It says it is connected and that the quality is excelent. I still can not use the internet. It used to work pretty good, the router being in the same place it always was, but now, after about a year, it never seems to work. I have reformated, and keep my computer up to date. When I connect via a chord to the same router, it works fine. What can I do? Is there a program I can download that will detect any problems? Can WLAN cards burn out from surges. I lost a hard drive recently to a surge, but it seems like the WLAN stopped working reliably before that. What should I do?
