I installed Morpheus but can't download any music because a new screen flashes telling me the Active X thingy needs to be activated. I take the risk and let it do its thing, but it keeps giving me the same message and I can't download any files. Anyone know a fix?

i'm not sure if it's the power in my area or in my living room but ever since i started using my computer in my living room i've been having a lot of problems with my computers, old or new... is it possible to have bad power only in my living room and not elsewhere in the house? what are the things that bad power supply/fluctuating power supply can do to a pc? what part of the pc would be damaged first and can this cause a pc to hang and the hdd not be read again? someone please help me out. and is there a way to fix the power problem? i noticed last night every time i turned my pc on, the light in my dining room turns off... is there a connection perhaps? thank you.

I have Norton INternet Security and Lavasoft Ad.aware. I've done a free scan with SpyDoctor from PCTools but need to buy it for £20 to fix it. Is it worth it? or are there any other free downloads. I want to be able to cover everything possible like popups, hijacks, trojans, viruses etc. Thanks

if i do ctrl-alt-del it doesn't do anything so i unplugged it and turned it back on. windows won't load, instead i get a blue screen saying "disk read error"... my friend checked it and says my hard disk is broken, coz it's not even recognized when hooked up as slave on his computer. so he replaced that broken hdd with my old 20g hdd... it worked for 3 days. i tried to open the homework i saved in email and the pc froze again and won't do anything to turn off so i unplugged it, it goes to the window that asks if you want to go to safe mode or last known good configuration and anything i choose on there goes to a blue screen that says stop c000023a or something like that and to contact tech support. i am not in america so i can't call dell... what can i do to fix my pc? what could be wrong? i'm just scared to go to a shop being clueless and all. thanks.

For example, when I'm Yahoo, Google, or virtually any website where I enter information into an input string, my computer brings up all the previous entries.

For example, if I'm searching for something on Yahoo beginning with an "s", a little drop-down list will show up, containing a list of all the things beginning with an "s" I ever entered into any text string on any website.

This feature is incredibly annoying. How do I turn it off?
