I received an e-mail who were pretending to be my bank and they were asking for my details. I have reported the matter to them. But should I still be worried?

my computer just came back from the company and their is a physical combo drive there but it wont read the cd's. anyone know how to fix that?

My friend's friend created a phony account on myspace.com and saying she's someone else using a complete stranger's pictures as her own. She's even given out her cell phone number to these guys she's met. But it's not real, can she go to jail for this? She's 16 I believe and has a lot of guys going crazy for her. I think it's wrong, what do you think? Can she be tried for anything? What's your opinion on this matter?

I need to change some people's login names to match their email (migrating to Exchange). So far I experimented on a couple users and just changed their login info on AD, and then had them logoff and logon as the updated login. It used their old settings for the new user; I'm just afraid since it leaves the local folder named as their old login that it will break when Exchange comes in.

Example: Username was JohnS, but their email is John.Smith@yada.com... I go into AD, change login to John.Smith. Go to their computer, logoff JohnS and login as John.Smith. All the settings are the same as the previous login, and in Documents/Settings the folder is named JohnS instead of John.Smith.

I have received another one from the seller and it does the same thing. Neither one will play in my portable player or on my computer. On the computer the box opens with blank cd. On the portable player the screen remains blank and after a few minutes the dvd stops turning. I have no problems playing other dvd's on the computer or the portable. I have contacted the seller and they don't know what the problem could be either.

I am looking to buy a laptop for myself. I would like a Mac Book (ie. one that runs macintosh). I want to know which would be better a mac system or a windows system? Please also outline pros and cons. And advice me as to which is better. Thanks.

I keep receiving emails (sometimes twenty a day) from American pharmacutical companies offering me all sorts of stuff (I have never been on sites like this before). I block the domain every time but they just get through from another domain. They are to my work email address so could cause me problems if I don't sort it out. Any ideas?

sons Packard Bell laptop keeps going into recovery program as soon as switched on and the says there has been errors and windows switches it off, at moment its completely useless and PB website is no help at all! need to get it sorted so he can use it again . Wont start up in normal mode or anything!

I Have a Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse. I have used it on my Dell Inspiron 8300 in the past with no problems. Now when i plug in the mouse, the pointer disappears. It still registers it's there. I can still click with it and it works, I just can't see where the pointer is. Device manager says its working fine. Any ideas?
