with windows vista on the horizon, would it be wise to wait for it before purchasing? i'm thininking black friday might have some deals. the core duo by intel just came out so i would think intel wouldn't announce another chip for a little while. also, is a dell a good laptop? there is one for $629 core duo, 512mb, 60gb 5200 hd.

I have my filter settings on high but still get these and each one is from a different person so i cannot just block that person. I will get the same email from 3 or 4 different people. It drives me nuts

It's an e machine (I can hear the groans already!) and not only does it not register my speakers (Even the volume control doesn't come up), It will not register my usb ports (I've plugged several different cables, nothing pops up) and I have to turn off my anti virus to use the internet because if I don't I sign in and 2 minutes later a worm is detected and it freezes my computer. Now I know the obvious could be a virus, but what is wrong with the piece of crap? I know I should get another but I can't afford it and can't live without my internet...... Any help would be appreciated!

I have my own site http://www.kruxialflicks.com when I edit i preview in Mozilla and it ALWAYS look like the editing page. however when i preview with IE theres always something messed up.
For instance, go to my site www.kruxialflicks.com and look at the enter page with mozilla and IE. The mozilla version is fine but when looking with IE you see white lines. Also i have tables that are centered. In mozilla its fine, but in IE they arent centered but to the left. How can I fix all these things?

I have 2 cd drives in my computer, D: & E:.. My D: drive is a CD R/RW drive and E: is only a CD/R drive. On my desktop, in My Computer; sometimes I open the folder and both drives are showing up. Most of the time though, I open the folder and both drives are not there. My question is this; Why do my drives seem to come and go more often than what my kids do, LOL?

I have a JumpDrive and my computer runs on Windows 98. My computer will not run my JumpDrive or anything. I need to update my USB port so I can access valuable information.
