I have my filter settings on high but still get these and each one is from a different person so i cannot just block that person. I will get the same email from 3 or 4 different people. It drives me nuts

You have to create message rules to filter them out.

Click on tools, then message rules and click mail and then you follow the on-screen prompts: you can choose to delete emails from certain addresses or where the subject or message has certain keywords. The downside is that some of these spammers know about these filters and try to get around them by doing things like spacing out the words e.g. m e d s or inserting other characters in there like m - e - d - s.

I use a program called mailwasher (that was totally free several years ago) and it identifies emails marked as spam because they are coming from a certain ip. You can also check the email against various anti-spam websites which have databases of spammers and their ip's.

I used to use message rules in outlook express but I would have to create a new rule for every variation in the email message that the spammers used. It got to be a real pain.
