When I open a file in Excel and then close it without saving the date modified keeps the date that I opened the file and does no revert back to the previous date. I do not want it to do this, I want it to recognize I did not save the file and keep the original date modified in the file properties.

I would be on for an hour or two then this little window from the bottom pops up and says my virtual memory is low and it may cause some things not to go through. It's been going on for about a week or so now. I deleted lots of old games and other junk but that did not work. What else can I do? What is Virtual Memory by the way?

i downloaded a photo viewer named photoview 1.0 and from then on every jpg/bmp file i click opens in that software. on uninstalling the software, it says 'windows cannot find program.exe' and the jpg does'nt open at all. how can i change to my original viewer i.e. internet explorer.

(on right-clicking any jpg file, there is no option like 'open-with')

My laptop is .. Celeron 1.4 GHZ ,, 256 MB RAM,,
I had been using Bitdefender but faced sum probs wit it..

Now i havce switched to AVG free + Outpost pro firewall

The reason being tht AVG does not hog sys performance and Outpost firewall has a built in Spy ware.

But it does overall slows the SYS.

Is there any other alternatives
????

I have a SATA300GB hard disk. I would like to conenct it to an IDE Motherboard, or to be more specific THIS:

I have found a connector but i am not sure if it will work:

Although this is very expensive. There is another type, that is abit different but im not sure if it will do the job the above does:

we have a computer that does not have any onboard parallel port. we have a software that need a dongle on printer port. can we connect this dongle to a PCI parallel port? I tried it with an ordinary PCI parallel port, but our software could not recognize the dongle. how can we solve this problem?

I don't have a computer at home, yet, and I just opened a myspace account. I get online at work, and I can't add a picture from here because I can't scan a pic into the computer, come on it's work. My p\c is totally screwed...it say my p\c has been infect with "bloodhound" virus...and I can't serve the internet "Access denied"...is there anything that can remove this virus for free or I'll have to format my hard-drive then reinstall windows xp??

i got a used printer that has a cartridge in it. so i tried to print something and it doesn't go. So, i don't really know if th problem lays in the cartridge (that might be old)... or just the printer is a piece of junk...

I have it on my old iBook G3 and would like to put it on my desktop, but the cd's were stolen long ago. I am the registered owner of a Photoshop program.
