Is it possible for someone who shares a computer with you to add an alet to their e-mail account, or cell phone if you send any outgoing e-mails?And if so, how can I stop it? My other half has somehow managed to intercept outgoing e-mails to my friends and is saving them in his account..

I have the volume control on the computer turned all the way up, but my speakers don't have external volume control. I can barely hear any sound from the computer. Is there a piece of software that can "amplify" the sound coming from the line out port so that my speakers will be loud enough?

i've tried numerous softwares, but this virus never seems to disappear! it's always there in its ominous red pop-up, and its getting SOOOOO annoying!!!!!!!

I cannot access any programs, my computer took 20 minutes to start up and show all the programs on the desktop... The only thing that is working is the internet. It is being verrrrrry slow and my cpu speed is at 100%, it will go down for a moment and it will catch up, then is freezes again. For example I cannot gain access to anything from start menu... this all started when I was trying to uninstall Quicktime lastnight, I have tried re-booting several times but no luck. All I really want to do is get my picture files on a disk so I can re-format... even my windows CD is not working... PLEASE HELP

Also, I was trying to download 'Shockwave' from the BBC site. I ask it to download and I get the small red 'X' again and it won't download. Any ideas? It should already be apparent that the only thing I know about computers is how to turn them on and off, so don't assume I've looked at the obvious solutions! Thanks!

besides my stuff (i am the administrator) showing up on his desktop, when he goes online thru any browser, quits that program & logs out, when i try to use a browser to get online in my account - i can't connect without several trys or restarting. we use safari, camino & opera. This problem happens vice versa also. i use latest os x & have a g5.

Do I have to pay for an ISP to access the internet to retrieve my Yahoo e-mail messages and surf the net? How do I set up the Internet connection without paying a monthly service charge?
