Is it possible for someone who shares a computer with you to add an alet to their e-mail account, or cell phone if you send any outgoing e-mails?And if so, how can I stop it? My other half has somehow managed to intercept outgoing e-mails to my friends and is saving them in his account..

run a scan on your computer for key-loggers
open a second email address and never tell him you have it.
(never send mail from your original e-mail to your new one)

use the original e-mail to send things to his friends.

and ... just a guess, but are you having a baby with someone that is a really bad choice and who you should never have got involved with?

Well there are 2 possible problems. First most email software (web based or not) have now alert options so a user can easily set alerts to be noticed about incoming (and not OUTGOING) emails. Also there is a chance that ""the other HALF"" already installed a spy/surveilance software who is 100 %hidden from you but report in real time anything you do on ur PC to him. Best way to get rid of this is to reinstall XP and all software and install ""Deep Freeze"" after . Is the best protection software for your PC .

It is called a keylogger and it can record every keystroke that you type into your computer and send the results to another e mail account. Just "Google" the word keylogger to see the hundreds of easily available, inexpensive keylogger programs out there.

Most malware scanners will detect these keyloggers. I would do all 3 of these scans and pay particular attention to any results that contain the word keylogger.

1. Scan for virus and remove (free online scan) with BitDefender

http://www.bitdefender.com/site/home/

2. Scan for trojans and remove (free online scan) with Ewido

3. Scan for ad/spyware and remove (free download) with Spybot Search & Destroy

Good luck.

Hmm it IS a possibility, but normally they would still require your password. Even if they wanted to set up any alerts, they would not be able to do so unless they knew your email password. It is possible that he may have installed a keylogger on your computer and got your password, or possibly just guessed it. If so, then he must be suspicious of your internet usage and what you are doing online.

It is illegal, so I would investigate if I were you.

Change your password so they cannot go into your private emails. Why would you want anyone even a partner to read your private stuff.

yes is possible but the answer to "how can i stop it" depends on the operating system that you use and the user account privileges that you/him has.
