okay, I downloaded a game (puppy luv) from yahoo games and when I try to open it it says: The following DLL cannot be found or has a missing export: DDRAW.DLL. what does it mean and what can i do to play the game. oh yeah it says this for quite a few games i download from different sites ive said software 4 the catagory cuz i have no idea wat it is

The screen on my laptop is very dull and is only just about readable in certain angles. I have tried adjusting the brightness but this doesn't work. When I first open the screen it flashes to the useuall brightness but then returns to the dim light state. Whatcould this be?

PS READ CAREFULLY:
I already have the the latest version of RealPlayer but it cannot play .mpeg or .avi(I haven't tried other formats). I have the setup for VLC in tar.gz format. Is it a correct software? If it is, how to install it on Linux(please give me precise step-by-step answer as I have already tried the Readme file. I hardly understood). If you have any other player in .rpm or something, suggest me and provide me with the link to download. I am really obsessed with Linux. Guys PS HELP!!

What do you think I need to do in this situation?:

About 9 months ago, I bought an HP PC from Best Buy. They asked me if I wanted recovery disks made up, which I had them do. They set it up with the hard drive portioned, C: and D:, with D: being named “HP_Recovery”. The original OS was installed on C: and anything I installed, downloaded, temporary internet files, etc always went on C:. The PC crashed recently and I had to do a whole new install of XP. Now I notice that everything I install automatically goes on D: instead of C: and it looks like XP installed itself on D: as well. Since the C: partition is vastly larger, I’m now always getting warnings that D: is running out of space. Many of the apps I install, either from CD or websites, don’t even prompt me with destination options, they just install on D: instead of C:.

Now, I’m not even concerned about the recovery anymore, so last night, I tried to do an FDISK and just start all over, with no partitions. It wouldn’t let me do it because it told me that files were in use. I had nothing running, but I’m sure they were just windows system files to run the system. Do you have any idea how I can correct this?

Ok i heard about a psp program by sony that alows you to download music movies game demos and more when i looked up the info all i could find were coments from jan. 2005 about how the program is going to compeate with itunes. DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY INFO ANYTHiNG HELPS!!! ~
