I plugged in the DVD drive, the computer lagged than crashed. Now when I reboot it wont read any IDE devices including the hard drive. Keeps telling me to reboot and select a proper boot device.

Does anyone know where I might be able to download free software to take screenshots on my computer.?

I would like to be able to take screenshots that I can send to my contacts when I am on a page that I would like them to see, but I have no idea what free program I can download to do this. Maybe there is no free software, but worth a try asking.

I have a Cable Modem & wireless broadband router (for other computer)- Do I need another modem for speed?

Hi- I've got a Roadrunner cable modem & a lynksys G somthing router for my other computer- Called cable company and they said if I wanted another modem its be another 45/month. Lynksys is constantly dropping signal, so can I just connect another cable modem (and what type do I use) to it, or is there another type of broadband router that has a better result (speed was fine, it just kept dropping the signal)?

What order should I complete my certification for A+, MCSE, CCNA, ETC....?

I will be graduating with a computer science degree this next school year, and I want to start studying for certifications. Which order do you think I should complete them in?

I was thinking of doing CCNA first followed by any one microsoft cert for MCP, followed by A+, then net+ and then MCSA. What do you guys think?

Why do people leave their computers on all day?

I have noticed that many people leave their computers on all day for some reason. I would like to know why and if its better or worse for the computer than to just turn it off. Also, is it more efficient to leave it on?

Anyway, the only thing I would like to know is why do many people leave their computers on all day and if you are one of them, why?
