I don't know if it would be "permanent" or not...but at the very bottom of the New Yahoo Page, they give you the OPTION of returning to the "Old Yahoo Page". Personally I love the new page because it fills more of the monitor and has many more choices and topics from which to choose. I think that those, such as yourself, are just merely "use" to the "skinny" old-style page that has margins wide enough to write a novel. However, when I "tested" going back to the Old Page, it STAYED on the Old Page even after shutting-down and restarting the laptop for a number of days. The only way I got back to the beautiful New Yahoo Page...which also offers countless options of your own choosing to "personalize" it the way YOU want it...I just can't grasp why so many hate the New Page, except that they've use it so long and they don't like "change"...even when it's for the better....AND THE NEW PAGE IS BETTER...once you really look it over very carefully and notice all the options that are available for your own "personalzation". Be "patient" with the New Page and "discover" its many options that are available, which the Old Page never gave half the choices as the New.

THANK YOU to those who pointed out the lower right corner thing. What I did to get around it is save everythng, like mail, answers and news to favorites so I don't even have to go to the home page.
