Turn off the pc. Unplug it. take the side off the computer, (useually the left side) You should see places to plug it in, You will need a phillips screw driver. Holding the case of the computer (to ground you so you dont shock anything with a static charge that you may have in you). remove one of the little silver screws, one thats not being used. (probably the top or second one down). carefully While still holding the side of the case plug in the card and reattach the little screw to hold it in place, make sure that the card is firmly in place plugged all the way in.. replace the side of the pc, and then plug the pc back in and boot up. it should automaticly find the hardware and ask you for the cd. if you have one then use it, if not just follow the steps that the autodection found..

Daniel B gave you the comparable answer i might. another theory, in the journey that your new workstation is working Vista, you opt for a card nicely suited with Vista. See the Microsoft internet site for Vista Compatibility.
