I am getting one for free - I don't get to choose. If I did have a choice it would be an apple. But getting a free computer from you internet provider ain't bad either.

Absolutely. The desktops are cheap but not cheaply made. I have had my Dell desktop for a year. As long as you keep updating your software and keep your virus protection updated it will run great.

I have only been around two dell computers and they were very slow. I have used a Gateway and it was fast and I have also used a EMachine. I like both. BTW- a computer engineer friend of mine said not to get a Dell, but I don't remember why exactly.

dells are good for the price range. But if u are willing to spend the extra buck I personally would get a mac. They dont get viruses from what I understand. And they are very reliable. but I own a dell just so u know.

They are okay, but God help you if you need service. It helps if you can understand broken English, spoken by someone in India.
I have known too many people who have went through this. It is a shame that companies outsource their service to a foreign country to save money. It comes at the expense of service. I had my computer built by a local computer company. It has been excellent, and if it breaks down, I just unplug it and take to them here in town.

Yes! I have been using dells for over 5 years. My company has all dell's. I have 3 dell laptops and 1 dell desktop. They work wonderful. Their warranty is superb.

well most computers are all the same, its the software they put in it...mostly all computers are built in china lol
but yes dells OK if u want to go that way, but check the others out before u buy a dell....

i work at best buy so I think that Dell computers are pretty good the only annoying thing about it is the fact that you have to order all supplies such as ink etc. online at thier website!

really i think there no better than any other. I'm on one now. i do like some of the features and the way there put together but as a whole i think one brand is as good as another it's that name you pay for
