from a command prompt do arp -a as previously suggested. However, I doubt it will do any good. If I were the hacker, I'd be using multiple proxies and hiding inside some college internal network, where you couldn't trace me beyond their router no matter what you did.
So... ignore this problem and get a darn good firewall.

ZoneAlarm will help, but if you have the IP do a traceroute to find which isp/network it is on and send the ISP an email. It helps if you have the zonealarm logs to send them.

you can also try a who is lookup http://www.whois.com (hmm guess not, I know there has to be a reverse lookup database somewhere to lookup by IP) but have to leave for work so maybe there is someone else on who knows.

EDIT: Ok i totally spaced on the question go to start, run, type in CMD enter, arp -a (thats supposed to be an a) it will give you the ip and mac address of anyone you connected to or has connected to you (local network only).

easier than all that crap. (I don't like to get all hung up on the pissing contest thing), is to simply run a firewall, between the Internet, and your computer and that will keep them ALL out!!!

If you see one cockroach, you KNOW there are 100 MORE that you don't know about!!!

Either get one of the free firewalls, like the many posted at http://www.firewallguide.com/ or, even, take an older 90 to 300 Mhz computer box, and build your own hardware firewall, that is Industrial Strength!!! http://ipcop.org
