I thought that if you filled up an internal hard drive, that the performance of the computer will suffer; it sure seems to for me currently. I am buying a new computer, but I also need a TB of storage, so I want to know if I should do the HD internally or just buy an external TB HD.

I've seen some posts that say there's a click-through -- not any more. I've also been advised to clear my cache and cookies, but every time you try returning to the Yahoo page it reverts to the awful new one. Please, if anybody has a surefire way to get the old one back. let me know before switch to MSN.

put sound clips onto a computer so that they play at certain times. I have a laptop and was wondering if when I started it and got past the password phase if I could have a sound clip from http://www.darkhousenetwork.com/hankhill.swf play. I have a Dell Inspiron E1405 if that helps. Thanks

I have an older Sony Vaio with Windows Me installed. I DO not want to have a wireless connection at home, I just want to be able to get a connection at a wi-fi hot spot. I have Firefox downloaded as browser. What kind of card do I need and do I need anything else??

I'm having a little trouble, i'm sure i have a virus but nortons doesn't seem to be finding anything. it's scanning all the drives doing a full scan.

So what's the best way to do a scan? any tips or trick to make sure it gets into every little corner? is it worth turning anything off while doing a scan? anything i should take in to consideration that i might have missed?

I'm using the latest version of norton with updated definitions.

One person said do it in safe mode? is this a good idea?

another person said close everything down in the background? right? wrong?

so how can i do the best scan possible?
