I'd like to stress the word MANY as in maybe 20 or more.

I suppose your question means that "what's the best way to share my images files to my friends around the world"?
There could be many ways,
1) Establish a FTP server at your computer and broadcast the folder to your friends. Then they can d/l directly from your PC. But that is going to occupy your internet's bandwidth.
2) Make a BitTorrent seed, and then send the link to your friends. This way, will reduce your bandwidth. But i'm not sure is BT considered illegal or not.
3) Subscribe for those photo album on the net site, eg. MySpace of MSN or yahoo photo album or friendster blog etc. then upload all your files one by one to show to all your friends.

copy them onto a cd if both computers have a cd writer

send as attachments to an e-mail, or just burn them to a cd-rom and mail the disk or otherwise deliver it manually.

use photobucket or imageshack....2 upload then save on the other comp..........goodluck!
