how do i manually save passwords in mozilla firefox?

Go to TOOLS then Password Manager. You can manage your passwords in there and add or remove whatever you want saved under Managed Stored Passwords.

If you want to force autocomplete, then after you enter your username and password, go to EDIT then click on SAVE FORM INFO and it will save that form data for you.
