when you clic on the ox old searches come up, how do you get rid of them?

Click on the down arrow in your toolbar next to the search box and click "clear search history".

If it is in yahoo toolbar, click the down arrow on the right side of the search box, then click options. After that click clear search history.

tools, internet options, click on content tab then go to auto complete and make sure everything is unchecked.
