This laptop worked fine until two weeks ago when it would not boot up. When hit the power button, the green power light and the hard drive light comes on but that is all it does.

i have a Laptop with a Dvd rewritable drive
silly maybe.. but how do i write files to a dvd instead of a cd-r/rw? i could get 4.7gb on a disc instead of 700mb.... i have been trying it for ages.. but dvd drive won't let me use anything but cdr-rw's.... what am i doing wrong? Many thanks for helping... lovely people...!!

I use a proxim client utility card, and I can't login to my yahoo or hotmail email...I can use yahoo messenger but not msn messenger! I can access the hotmail and yahoo pages but that's it, I can't login...And my myspace is messed...with everything on the page running over top of each other...
Is something wrong with my security settings?!! I have installed the newest Internet explorer, tried to change some security settings, and installed the new msn! Anyone know what I can do to fix my computer problems?!!

Remember the old apple macs? with the dinky little square screen? you could set them up so that when you pushed the wrong button a sound not unlike "eeeEEEP" was made. The name of the sound was wild eep. Where did they get it? Has he made any more sounds?
