I have been a Technician for going on 10 years (started @ 16, but the last 5 years have been working for a Major repair CO) and although it is not a bad laptop, i personally do not like DELL in general. however, if you are set in getting this, do not go low end. Make sure to stay away from celeron. Try to acctually go DUAL Core as this laptop is quite capable. Min 512mb ram. good luck

Personally, I like home built computers. There cheaper, and run better(if u did them right). But for laptops, Dell is the best. e1505 is cool.

As a technician myself I advise staying away from dells. They're ok computers, but they aren't as good of quality for what you pay, there are much better systems out there for the same or similar price.
