Is it illegal even if you stopped sharing it?

legal questions regarding P2P networks are still difficult to answer @ 100% clarity. You may have been IP tracked when you WERE sharing, in which case it is just a matter of time before you get fined, however, there aren't alot of resources to acctually track everyones IP. Your biggest concern is the malware that is installed when Kazaa is installed, and the Open ports that are allowing more infections into your system.

We had it & it gave us a virus. We found it a couple years after we had stopped using it. I think it's illegal while you are using it & you techinically did something illegal & they can prosecute you even after you've stopped.
