Answers manages to stay in service without taking functionality away and respond to user questions , and has the same affliction of political-hacks, porn-posters, (anti)religous nuts, and other internet dregs.
Why do the admins at news message keep putting broken boards on political news, disable the reccomend(like thumbs up), and refuse posts? And NEVER give a reasonable response to complaints?

Some body changed the resolution of one the computer of my office. The PC configuration is : Pentium 4, On boared graphics card, Sestem: WinXP 2005 Professional, Philips 15'" Monitor. The Problem is: When I start the computer it starts it booting normally, check the C drive then, then shows a message: Out of frequency range, then nothing is shown on the monitor. I've reset the bios battery, tried to enter into setup pressing Del key but failed. Monitor displays nothing to do anything. It became dark, the led of the monitor became orange from fluroscent. I've replaced the monitor. The previous monitor performs well with another computer. I replaced the monitor 3 times. In all cases i got the same result. There is no way to enter into the setup, or settings. What should I do. Even I,ve tried to setup new Xp but faced the same problem. What should I do. Plz help me.

I have Netzero dial-up as an internet connection (yeah, all you hi-speeds out there can laugh and point the finger of shame) and it automatically loads Internet Explorer every time I sign on. I hate IE and use Mozilla Firefox, but even after I have set Firefox as the default browser, IE still loads every time I sign on. Then when I close IE, Netzero asks if I want to log off. Is there any way to disable IE when using Netzero so that it doesn't load up every time I sign on, or is there a way I can permanently make Firefox load up when I connect with Netzero???

I have a radio controlled atomic clock, which is supposed to be as accurate as you can get, when it comes to time. I have two computers, and one of them is the same time as the clock, but the other one is always 2 minutes & 25 seconds off! This wouldn't be a big deal, but I work at a job where things have to happen every hour on the hour, and I'm constantly having to reset the clock on the computer, to match the atomic clock, so that the computer will start on time automatically. Any suggestions?

I’m producing several stereoscopic films in 1080P at 24 fps. In order to project them for audiences, I need to synchronize fullscreen QuickTime playback (in 24 FPS, 1080P H.264) from the dual DVI outputs from a Power Mac G5 (or 2 Powerbooks). This is currently a stumbling block that I'm trying to overcome in order to develop a platform for lowcost, immersive, HD sterescopic film presentation. Any Mac developers out there who work with video and QuickTime? I'm looking for a simple solution that doesn't require a huge software programming or development effort. I've tried some of the obvious solutions: setting a time for both applications to launch and play, spreading one large QT movie over 2 screens and cropping the controls, making a physical "spacebar pusher" to start playback at the same time. I really need the playback to be absolutely frame accurate (at least to the frame level, 1/24th of a second). I would love to have this on a G5 (or dual powerbooks is another possibility), since our entire workflow is Mac and QuickTime is a lot nicer to work with.
