Long story short: drive my SUV to Lake Tahoe, CA over weekend, SUV’s coolant tank froze over night, SUV towed to nearest dealer, dealer called said the coolant mixture was not right for the low temp in the area, called my dealer, dealer said it is not their fault that I drove my car to the low temp area, should have flush the coolant put in the right mix before I go. My question is if my SUV’s coolant was frozen due to not having the right mix of coolant for that temp, shouldn’t all the SUVs who came to Lake Tahoe that weekend from the bay area have the same problem like mine? Is my dealer trying to deny any responsibilities so they don’t have to pay any repair cost? Maybe they put too much water mix in the coolant that they just don’t want to admit? What should I do? Help!

I sail, just for fun, at a club. I volunteer, and I tried to get my S6, which is high level racing. This guy I sailed seemed to always be rubbing it in my face that he was better than me. He got his S6 and I didn't. He seemed kind of smug about it. I know that guys get intimidated by girls, but it's just for fun, and why can't he just treat me like a teammate, not like some girl he has to beat out of pride. How should I approach him when I go back to try to get my S6 again next summer?

Hubby & I just bought a 98 excel hatch as a runabout 2nd car from a private seller. We need to install a baby seat, but can't find any visible anchor points on the back seat and can't find anything in the manual. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what did you do?

OK - I'm in a debate with a friend of mine. For a newer small (gasoline) car, I say no. After all there is not going to be any fluid circulating into the engine until the thermostat begins to open up - which will not happen till the engine reaches proper operating temperature. So it will not help it warm up faster.

I'm doing an unscientific survey.

If you account for the manufacturing and disposal of the vehicle, as well as the operation of the vehicle over it's useful life, which is more Environmentally friendly (CO2 output, overall emissions, particulates, toxic landfill space)? A hybrid (like the Prius) or a traditional gasoline or diesel powered vehicle (choose your fuel... biodiesel, ethanol, or other)?

Should we all drive small traditional cars or jump to Hybrids?
Please also respond with your occupation.

I have two questions regarding Section 2B.07 Multiway Stop applications

Under part D. where it says “Where no single criterion”, does that mean parts A. B. and C. or does it mean parts A., B., C.1, and C.2?

Under the Guidance part D., when analyzing C.1 and C.2 for the 80% criteria do I use the original volumes in C.1 and C.2…. or do I apply part C.3 (70% reduction) and then analyze the 80%?
