Depends where you go. I live in Southern California.
Food 4 Less fuel (where available) is $2.47
Mobil, Chevron, Exxon & Shell are about $2.59, give or take a few cents up or down, depending on the location of the station & ownership.
Arco (with or without an AM/PM attached), Thrifty, Vallero or other independent stations are about the price of Food 4 Less' fuel. Again, these stations are also dependant on location & ownership.

$2.57 for 87 octane . I don't get it either . Crude prices are dropping and were being raped at the gas pumps. They are always quick to act but slow to react. In October I left Elmira NY. where gas prices were the same price above and on my way to Williams Grove Speedway 5 miles south of Harrisburg PA. gas gas was $2.15.

In Chicago, the cheapest I've seen is $2.39, thought you can get it for a few pennies less if you drive just outside the city limits. The city has a gas tax that boosts up the price.

The current gas price in my state is crazy, we pay like $3.75 and sometimes four dollars, i live in California, what do you expect!

The AMPM is the cheapest in town and its 2.47 it can go higher like the Shell is around 3.25...this is in Northern California near a gas refinery so I dunno how come we pay more than everyone else that has to have it shipped half way across country. It's such a racket!
