I need a car with which I'll commute about 100 miles a day over the next year. I have a budget limited to 7K max, what is the most financially viable option, considering the possibility of selling the 2nd hand car if I buy one now? Leasing seems expensive and value is lost away- especially in long commutes - any recos /experiences on that would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Just wondering what you all thought...

I currently have a place to stay until I find an apartment of my own. But I need to find a job. I do not have car. With the money I have saved up I was either gonna go get the apt or buy a car. I figured if I had an apt I can go look for a job at anytime and just walk or use public transportation which is no big deal to me. But then I also figured if I got a car first I could get the car then apply for an apt because they just need to know that you will be making about 3x rent anyways. That dont really need to see it. So i thought get a car so I know I can get to and from work. I dont know.
What do you guys think should be the best way to go about that?

I just bought a 2003 mustang GT and I want to make it louder...but not "wake up the neighbors loud" It already has factory dual exhaust and has a slight rumble to it. My only fear is that it will sound like a big loud truck. I want to avoid that sound. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks! :)

I'm taking my road test soon and I have 2 questions about it.

1) What do they inspect on your vehicle for safety before you take the test?

2) Can you use a van to take a road test in, or only cars?

How safe is it to give out your driver's license? Is it possible for people who know it to trace everything like your phone number, where you live, SS#, etc just by knowing the Driver's License # even though they never seen my actual license??

If so how are they doing that?
