The Public School district will probably not allow you to "borrow" theirs due to insurance issues. Try your church or a friend's church. Maybe even the bowling alley where someone you know is a member on a league. I don't know which state you are in, but you'll need someone with a class B license with schoolbus and/or passenger endorsements on their license to drive the bus legally. The only way insurance will cover an accident is if the driver was legal.

Most buses are privately owned so just find a driver and ask if he owns it or knows anyone that owns one to rent
