Motorcycles - December 2006

It runs between 1800 ,2000 rpm and I cleaned bottom of carbs. Someone told running them on full choke would foul out plugs.The bike runs but only when I pull choke all the way out.

my original one saids "H O N D A" with light blue
but it's been peeled off after alot of years
i am trying to make it clean and nice but this sticker!! i can not find it

I have a 2001 600cc Suzuki Katana. I bought this bike dirt cheap from a friend that recked it, and I've fully restored it. BUT, the parts I used are different colors. So, I'm not looking for a custom paint job. I just wanted to get it painted a solid color, nothing fancy. I was just wondering where would be a place to go without spending a fortune?

ive seen speeds cycle in elkridge .. scootertronics in sykesville motorada and a couple others like bobs bmw in columbia ( i dont like vespas..im into sprtbikes) but when i go online to look for more shops i cant find that many in maryland or dc VA area.. and the online phonebook looks like lists mostly motorcycle shops no scooters or wheelchair scooters.. anbody know of any scooter stores that sell scooters for $2000 or less



im actually looking for the verucci viper 50 so if you know of any stores selling this scooter in maryland let me know

I want to build a motorcycle from the ground up. Preferably a sport bike. How long does it take, and around how much money would it cost? I hope to get it started around now and finish before may, putting in some work every day. I know nothing about building motorcycles, but will be working with some experts who will help me out. Is this project possible? Can I do it before May? Any feedback or advice would be appreciated.

hey guys when i start the bike in the morning RPM is below 1 but when i run the bike for 1 km or so and again when i stop the RPM remains at 3 or between 2-3
so bike fault or its ok?

i check the spark plug and i don't see any spark
it's a kick start. 1976 honda cj360t
can it be battery too or ignition coil?
i was working fine and i droped it(barely) but it has a sissy bar
i am guessing it was flooded too
any idea how to fix this?

1956 BMW w mikuni carb occasionally backfires on deceleration, sometimes singularly and sometimes in clusters. Can be deceleration from high speed (60-80 kmh) or from low speed (40 - 60 kmh). I'm baffled,is it timing, carb or something else?

having problem starting after droped(barely and softly)
I DID
--take out spark plug and cleaned it...(left was little wet)
--kicked it few times while plug was out.
--put it back in
--while turned off and no chock, kicked it again.
--turn ON and chock a little and kicked it.
it sounded like it was going to start a little but after about 10 kicks, it went to nothing...
again...this used to start right away.
i barely droped it(and had a sissy bar) and started again.
but after i came back from chow, it would NOT start
help!!

my nams freewheelinpete.And I have just got myself a air cooled rd250
yamaha year is 1979.And when i got it back the electrics were a total
mess .Anyways i`n now on wiring the cdi unit up.Iunderstand that this
model of bike use to have points,Yet i have a cdi unit ,It made by
NEWIRONIC SYSTEMS LTD.And there are four wires to witch 1 sould goto the
battery the other three i can only gess at the wire colors are 1blue 2gray
3white 4orange.can you help me

this cdi unit is going to be wired on to a 1979 yamaha air cooled
rd250.if you could send me somesort of wireing specs i would be most
greatfull.this is my first 2stock bike and i`ve decided to see what people

normaly.

long story short.
i just bought an old bike and worked fine
i barely droped it (going maybe 1mph) and it had a sissy bar too
and started again right after that too,
went to eat and came back, now it will not start! what ever I DO!
it;s a kick start. i kick tha S*it out of it and even push start it but would not work!
we barely almost started, but it would not Rev up!
HELP PLEASE!
