I;m interested in purchasing a used motorcycle but I'm afraid that my size might make a lot of bikes uncomfortable to ride for any extended period of time. I'm looking for some recommendations for an entry-level sporting motorcycle for a 6'6" 220 lbs 36" inseam guy. My definition of sporting would include sport touring, standard, naked, and other/crossover categories. I would probably be looking for a 2-4 year old used motorcycle. I'm flexible on the price - say somewhere in the $3,000 to $5,000 range. I'm considering the kawasaki zzr600, honda 599/919, suzuki sv650, honda vfr 800 interceptor and am open to any other suggestions. My motorcycle use would primarily be around town but it would be nice to have something that could be used for weekend trips as well. I'm primarily looking for ergonomical and comfort reviews on these and similar bikes from guys that are similarly sized. I'm also interested in general reviews of these bikes as well. Thanks and I appreciate your responses!

[This was my first time asking this question] This is a 2000 Kawasaki KX-60 with a 2-Stoke motor. The motor has low hours. It has been sitting for approximately 2-years. Before it was stored it ran perfectly. The problem i'm having is, when i start the bike with choke, it idles and runs fine - but when i turn off the choke the bike runs for about 2-3 seconds before bogging out. I figured it must be a dirty carb...so i completely cleaned the carb and jet/pilot jet (did it twice). Unfortunately, it didn't work...the bike is still doing the same thing. I'm not sure if the reeds would potentially cause something like this - i would say "No" because the bike is only affected by the choke, so that tells me its in the carb.

[Part 2] Since asking this question, I've replaced the old fuel with fresh gas (32:1 mix) , installed a new spark plug and air filter; but the motor still bogs out with the choke off.

This is really unusual - your help is appreciated.

I own an on-line motorcycle store. During winter it gets slow and that is expected.
This on the other hand is the best time for the customer to get the best deals. What gear would you like to buy on-line at 20% off during the off months?

Post up so can get it on sale!!

Sometimes it starts with one try, most of the time it takes awhile. If I let it idle for awhile its usually ok. Sometimes I have to keep reving it or else it dies. When Im waiting at stop signs or lights if I dont keep it revved up it dies. Any suggestions?

I am looking at buying a sports bike, and I have a few questions about it. I would like to know what kind of bike is the best. I am looking for a midsize bike-not too expensive, but not cheaply built. How many miles will a good bike get before it dies, if it is maintained properly? How many MPG does the average sport bike get? Let me know.. THANKS!!

My boyfriend tried a while ago to get a motorcycle and they said his credit wasnt good enough. Does anyone know the average credit score it takes to get one? Or who gives loans the easiest? He wants a Suzuki GSX-R the most but is pretty flexible.

I'm going to be taking apart a Honda 600rr apart and send it overseas. Either a mechanic or myself will put it back together. Any suggestions? The country I'm going to has a high import tax of 3000 dollars. So I'm going to take it apart to save money.

I am looking to get a first-ever motorcycle to ride on. And yes, I have ridden motorcycles before so safety is not an issue. Just now, I want to buy my own. I need a nice, stylish, solid street legal motorcycle. I am willing to pay up to 800 dollars (i know that's not much, but hey, it's temporary). Does not have to be new. Any suggestions or recommendations for what kind of motorcycle to look for?
