Has not been used in a long time and I just gave it a tune up and I'm pretty sure I put it back together right, I sure its the piston oil seal, but could it be something else? any other thoughts?

Always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions. A 2 or 4 stroke engine will give the same symptoms, but require different repair procedures.
--2 stroke. To much oil in the premix. Worn piston & rings and cylinder. Worn crank seal (clutch side). If water cooled - coolant leaking past head/base gaskets.
--4 stroke. Worn piston & rings and cylinder. Leaking valve guide seals. Coolant leaking past head/base gasket.

Sounds like a blown oil ring on the piston.

it probably a stuck oil ring on the piston. or even if you "did put it back together right" if you didn't tighten the head enough/or proper way the head gasket might be leaking.

White smoke is water/coolant. At less your talking about the white condensation that comes out when its cold out. White smoke = water Black smoke = rich Blue/black smoke =oil from worn piston rings or valves

Head gasket, scored cylinder, mis-adjusted oil injector... the list goes on.
