I'm actually standing up for Free Speech and Free Enterprise by buying my gas ONLY at Citgo...
This silly campaign by 7-11 is having a reverse effect with alot of people in my area....
I know 3 or 4 people who have now boycotted the 7-11's that are switching.

I briefly researched the topic on Wikipedia but was left with no real good answers. I can see high volumes causing this in the right lanes where cars are merging in, but in the speed lane there appears to be no good explanation. Also, a co-worker and I have noticed that traffic is best on days with OK weather but that are overcast. A bright sun seems to have a negative impact on flow.

I used to be a drivers mate. Long boring journies led to extreme measures to pass the time. I once, on a 900 mile round trip, did a survey of 'middle lane hoggers' and found that 8 out of ten of them were women.
There were 150 vehicles in this particular count.
I'm not making this up.
This is a FACT.
What I want to know, mainly from the women but also from that 20% of men, is what are your reasons for doing this?
Did you know you weren't supposed to?
Or do you just not give a monkeys'?

PS. I'm not suicidal over this, just interested.

I'm about to start a new job, where I have the option of using a fully-financed company car (excluding private milage, for which I'll be charged 12p/mile); or I can take an allowance of £450/month (taxable), which would mean all costs associated with the car would be my responsibility. The car would need to be less than four years old.

What are the pros & cons of either option?

Whats the longest commute you would be willing to drive to work daily if you were getting about 300.00 off your rent for moving somewhat further.

What do you think about 18 wheelers and the men and women that drive them? Are they a nuisance or are they nessassery? If you were in charge of them what would you do with them?
