Are there any race tracks that you can see or take cars for 1/4 mile racing, drifting, etc. I live in Riverside, California and would like to see and participate in those events. And see the car shows. I have been to the one in Irwindale, but was wondering if there is one closer to where I live.
Thank you.

i have heard that differant gas companies give car better gas mileage... examples: a tank of Tempo gas does not get as good mileage as Shell. Is this true? I am from canada so you may not have these 2 stations, but you get the idea.... THANKS!

In California, to be able to drive in the carpool lane you only need two people. I feel that I have heard that a baby doesn't count.

I'm currently in my last year of high school and I'm applying to a college that's about an hour and 15-30 min. away by car. And that's without traffic =) So that makes a total of about 3 hrs of total commute everyday...would you do it?

For me, the college is too close to dorm but yet I feel it's too far to drive an hour and a half to back and forth everyday.

I would like to start boycotting some countries if they provide gas to certain gas stations. I use Valeo, Shell, Getty, Exxon, etc. If anyone can provide a listing. For instance, I am boycotting Citco, because that comes from Venezella.

ok if their around a school in school hours ok, but on the motorways and main roads their always in your way

THEN you are forced to take dangerous action to keep at a good pace. Overtaking can be dangerous.

Imagine that you have a very slow driver in front of you (driving at 15 mph in a 30 mph zone) while driving on a one lane road. You are starting to get impatient and do not know what to do. What do you do to help you relax and prevent you from getting angry at the slow driver in front of you???? Thanks

Okay, I'm driving along and suddenly encounter a queue of about 6-7 cars travelling at just under 15 mph. I then pass the obstacle- a cyclist, who has refused to pull over to let the lorry immediately behind him overtake. The lorry couldn't get past because it was narrow and there was oncoming traffic.
Since there was a place to pull in, and cyclists shouldn't even be on A roads at all, let alone in the rush hour, I hoot. To this, the response, is the dirty old man sticks his middle finger up. I give this lowlife a dirty look, to which he bellows a couple of f's and c's before I'm out of earshot. The middle finger is also held up until I'm well out of eyesight.
What's worse is my parents are in the car, and my mum was particularly upset by this man's behaviour as she is very sensitive to that kind of thing.

Suppose 2 cars are doing 70 in a 55, one following the other 100 feet apart. Which one gets pulled over, the leader or the follower? I often find myself tailing another car on the highway going faster than I usually would thinking that if we were to drive by a speed trap, the guy in front of me would get pulled over. Who gets pulled over. I am thinking once the radar gun zaps the first guy it won't be able to reset in enough time to zap the one trailing it so the cop has to chase down the first car or if the radar gun can zap both does the officer catch the whatever vehicle is closer as he jumps out into the highway to pursue

There used to be a huge bus station in bournemouth that was spread over two levels, but it burned down years ago, forcing the buses to uses the square and the triangle. (Apparently 80 buses were saved by being driven out, that shows the size of it!)

Im planning on driving from Chicago to los angeles. I drive a toyota corolla 1993 with 93,000 miles on it. Some guy told me he did the drive before and that driving over the mountains would possibly destroy my transmission. I plan to go from 60-65 MPH and break every 4 hours for 30 min to let things cool down. How do i avoid the mountains? My plan is to use i-80 till i hit Denver then I-25 and finally I-40 to get to LA. Any realistic advice about this topic?

Would you pay an insurance premium for a gas price cap and if the price went above the cap and you got money back would that be something worthwhile?
