I ride a “Trek Madone 4.5 WSD” road bicycle. Last year, I rode 4563 miles. She is a 50 cm carbon frame, with a Shimano 105 50/39/30 crank / Shimano 105 12-27, 10-speed cassette.
This might be a bit silly, as I enjoy pedaling; I often choose to try to keep up with my friends while they drive their cars. This is the best option, especially since I’m the only cyclist in the group. So, every time we have an outing, they will drive and I’ll ride.
As long as I could keep up with my friends’ cars, I would try to stay in line with them. Would it be possible to draft off from their cars?

For example, you are taking your exit and someone changes lanes in front of you very closely and goes 5 mph.

I've heard of the term before, but not really sure what it means. Is it when 2 or more people share a ride together?

While on the highway you have slow lanes and fast lanes. The speed limit is 60 .police officers issue tickets to speeders.I understand you can get a ticket going even just 5 miles over. Is the fast lane designed for those to break the law and go way over the speed limit ? to use the fast lane how fast is fast legally for you to be traveling in it legal? What speed are you requiered to do if you go in the fast lane? Say for one reason or another I had to be in the fast lane .Say while in the fast lane. One driver is doing 25 miles per hour over.I'm doing 10 miles per hour over .Theres an accident the 25 miles per hour drivers claimes i caused the accident because i was driving to slow. who's at fault? Also say what if i was doing the speed limit in the fast lane. If the speed limit is 60 how fast is fast with out breaking the law for you to travel in the fast lane?

Everyday I see people cut other people off who are slowing down for a red light. They drive up behind them so fast, change lanes and pull in front of the slowing car, just to halt to a complete stop at the red light. What is it that makes people do this? The light's red and they can't go anywhere.

sorry, I don't want to post this under motorcycle section, because I am sure I will get bias answers. If you think this is a stupid question, pass on to the next question. Thanks!

What do you think about your co-workers that communte to work on a motorcycle? Do you think they are poor or weird because they ride a motorcycle to work. Do you thing they look weir with all the gears that they put on?

Just really curious about what others think. Thanks!

why is it that 'a lot' of drivers feel that when entering a roundabout which has 2 lanes approaching it,2 lanes all the way around it,and 2 lanes exiting it,they all get into the right hand lane, and half way around, they feel they now need to swap to the left lane!!! to exit.why not stay in the same lane all t he way round the roundabout?? ive even seen some bigger roundabouts have even erected large yellow signs stating 'use both lanes' i drive for a living, and this puzzles me.

I am considering what high schools to go to and I figured Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan because I thought it was nearer and wouldn't take as much time to go to as Brooklyn Technical High School would. Of course, I have to travel by public transportation (yes I know there may be delays and such-- rainy days, bus might be late, or trouble with the subways). But if anyone has any info on what the time to get to BTHS from S.I. by the MTA on a whole, it would be greatly apprieciated! Oh and if it takes longer than to get to Stuy. (please answer ASAP, and if you don't know the answer don't write down some fake one)

I'm taking an 8 hour bus ride (followed by a 2 hour commuter) to get home for Thanksgiving. You're welcome, mom. Any tips, on how I can get some shut eye and not be cranky for 6 hours of family time?

Surely trams would help cut road traffic & thus less air pollution as already been proven in Croydon & cites like Manchester & Nottingham & would help create more jobs in the area.

If the problem is laying rails & causing distruption, why not look into having a trolleybus system? This would have the same benefits of less road traffic, but with less expenditure needed in construction & mantainence.

As I live 7 miles from Uxbridge & I am a tram enthusiast (no jokes please) I was looking foward to seeing the system being built & riding on it.
