I am partially sighted and therefore cant drive. I can understand why people would want to drive to get somewhere, but I am wondering, what is so pleasureable about driving that people woiuld just get in thier cars and drive for 'fun'?

All I can see is that they would get stuck in that car park they call the M25.

Commuter to detonate DC bridge Monday night

Mon Aug 28, 2:37 PM ET

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A detested bridge that has plagued generations of Washingtonians will be blown up by a long-suffering commuter on Monday night.

Regional authorities have since 2000 been building a replacement to the Woodrow Wilson Memorial Bridge, which carries the Capital Beltway across the Potomac River between Maryland and Virginia just south of the District of Columbia.

The Wilson bridge has long been one of the worst traffic bottlenecks in a region notorious for gridlock. Backups can stretch for miles when the drawbridge is raised 270 times per year to let boats through.

As the midpoint of Interstate 95, the East Coast's busiest highway, the bridge also handles a heavy flow of long-distance traffic.

A local man who has crossed the bridge for 30 years as part of his two-hour commute won a contest to detonate a half-mile section. Dan Ruefly of Accokeek, Maryland, had his hip crushed in an

recently dekalb co. ga. implimented a law that states. if you are involved in an accident and are talking on the cell phone it will be a 500$ fine!! i personally think this should become a national law, just like dui has become. laws are unfortuantely implimented because people are too selfish or stupid to do the right thing. and since the ntsb recently completed a study that said cell phone use while driving is equally or more distracting than driving under the influence of alcohol. dont you all think its high time we got serious about making the roads safer?? it may be your child that you save from the negligence of idiots that just cant seem to hang up and drive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For seemingly no reason? There are no cars in front of them and no cops around,no accidents to stare at(which also infuriates me), absolutely no reason for them to slam on their brakes. Does anyone know why people do this? Does this happen in places other than Miami? I've driven all over the Eastern US and never seen it anywhere else.

Do you ignore them while they drive next to your back bumper, pull over to the side of the road and let them pass you, or do you prefer to go slower just to make them upset at you?

I'm just curious to see how many people there are who share my opinion on which sex seems to cause the most Road Rage. I'd first like to say that I am by no way sexist and that my opinions are based on my personal experiences and my personal experiences alone. I'd have to say that 95% of my road rage is caused by women drivers, the other 5% undoubtly has to go to old drivers. Most of my experiences revolve around women drivers "DRIVING" in the "PASSING" lane along side another vehicle making it impossible to pass and they appear to be seamingly unaware that there is any1 else on the road with them. There is quite a few other things I've noticed to cause road rage in me, but my point (opinion) here is that it's primarialy caused by WOMEN! If I could get one thing out of this survey it would be:"DRIVE in the RIGHT lane, PASS in the LEFT lane!" 1 more thing, there is 1 group of drivers that rarely cause me any grief, and they r TRUCKERS! At least they pay attention & are curtious!
