This is the question I find I ask myself the most! I HATE IT! And NO I don't do it to others, I have Children in the car, although this does not seem to bother the other people. I stick to the speed limit and touch the brakes, this usually works. If not, I bite my tongue till they pass in a Screamin Huff and Pray for KARMA!

If someone is on my bumper i will move into the slow lane and let them pass. Its rude to drive the speed limit or slower in the fast lane when someone wants to go faster. It is not the job of other ppl on the road to "brake check" someone who is trying to go faster. If were on the freeway and there are 3 other lanes the person can go slow in, theres no reason for them to be in the fast lane. I especially hate the ppl who are chillin and I come up on them pretty fast and then have to brake because even tho its obvious in your rear view when someones coming up fast, they dont get out of the way. Everyone would be a lot happier if the slow ppl stayed in the 2 or 3 right lanes and left the passing lane open! That way no one gets mad at each other.

I usually pull to the other lane if it's a highway or eventually get off if it's an ordinary two lane road. Wrecking my vehicle is not something I would enjoy because I would have to fix it myself--I would never go to a body shop because it's way too expensive. Slamming on the brakes is a bad idea--who knows how the other lawyer could swing the case against you.

Move out of the left lane. If there is congestion and there is absolutely no reason for riding my bumper I'll usually slow down a bit. However, I would rather not get rear ended by them either.

Depends on how annoyed they make me. If I can tell they have somewhere to go and aren't just being a jerk, I'll let them by. If they are just acting like a jerk because they think they're lord of the road I may go slower. Now days you have to be careful though, people will pull a gun on you. I don't want to die because of some idiot. = )

I slow down, to allow THEM more reaction time in case of a quick stop, don't want them in my backseat, nor do I need to have an accident because of someone elses actions. Even if they pass, is fun to pull up right behind them at the next stop/light.

If there being really agressive (Usually some spotty teen in a civic) I'll tap the brakes when there at the closest point. This causes them to hit the brakes hard.

it's never a good ideal to slow down for them,it can make things worse, just get over to the side and let them pass you ,but only if you can safely
and don't let it get to you, road rage is the most common thing on the road today.
it's not worth your life

it depends where ( in NJ !) I am & who's in the car w/ me
if my son or any other children are in the car I try to get out of the NUTS way & let them pass
if it's just me in the car I slow down just to get on there
nerves , if they are in such a rush to get where they
are going why not leave EARLY so they can get to
the place on time ? ! It's not my fault that they are running
late, so DO NOT tailgate me ! I like many others HATE
THAT !
take care
