I'm just curious to see how many people there are who share my opinion on which sex seems to cause the most Road Rage. I'd first like to say that I am by no way sexist and that my opinions are based on my personal experiences and my personal experiences alone. I'd have to say that 95% of my road rage is caused by women drivers, the other 5% undoubtly has to go to old drivers. Most of my experiences revolve around women drivers "DRIVING" in the "PASSING" lane along side another vehicle making it impossible to pass and they appear to be seamingly unaware that there is any1 else on the road with them. There is quite a few other things I've noticed to cause road rage in me, but my point (opinion) here is that it's primarialy caused by WOMEN! If I could get one thing out of this survey it would be:"DRIVE in the RIGHT lane, PASS in the LEFT lane!" 1 more thing, there is 1 group of drivers that rarely cause me any grief, and they r TRUCKERS! At least they pay attention & are curtious!

yes sir you and i may get lynched by the ladies here, but my experience is exactly the same!!! i drive in the Atlanta area and we unequivocally have the worst drivers i have ever experienced in my life!! I can give you two prime examples of this!! the first one involved a white female approx. 30 with two young children in her car!! i pulled up to a stop light and this lady was in front of me. the light turned green and she just sat there talking on her cell phone. i blew my horn for her to go, but she just sat there. well by then the light had changed so i blew my horn again. this young lady with two children in car seats. got out of her car and approached my vehicle cursing and threatning to (KICK MY ***) well i spent 22 years in the navy and i am not a huge man, but i can bench press 250lbs and i used to box a little. so i could have beaten this woman to a pulp had i chosen too. and i have a permit to carry a gun as well. so i could have shot this women and left her bleeding on the side of the road while her young kids cried. instead being the decent person i am i told her to "get back in your car lady and take care of your kids before someone pops a cap in your rear" eventually she got back in her car and left, while i laughed at how stupid she was!!!!!!!! the second incident involved a young black woman. i had my signal light on and was trying to merge into the turning lane. this woman refused to let me over and was honking her horn @ me and calling me every profane name in the book. she got real close to my bumper and seemed to want to hit my car. i was ready to that senario and hit the gas leaving her in the dust!!! both of these cases involved women, and infact i have had very few incidents with other men. this is not to totally imply that all road rage is of female origin, but i can honestly say that some of you ladies are equally just as stupid as any male and just as aggressive. your claim of being the smarter, more gentile sex is seriously in question from my personal experience. congradulations ladies you have finally gotten the equality that you so wanted. you are just as violent and obnoxious as any males i meet. as the ole saying used to say?? YOU'VE COME A LONG WAY BABY!! unfortunately you've moved in the wrong direction and the term ladie no longer applies to any female anymore!!!

Left lane hogs - in my experience - tend to be middle aged women older than 40. If the car is a minivan driven by a woman, then maybe the age begins at 30. Also, elderly people tend to put the cruise control on 66 and park it in the left lane, creating almost one mile backup. If the driver is from PA - pretty much 50/50 on gender and a higher percentage that a trailer is being towed - making it more difficult to pass on the right.
I've controlled my road rage, but seeing some of the above on the highways can make my blood boil from time to time.

Honestly, I think both sexes cause an equal amount. Then we have age.. There are the old folks and the teenagers.Most can't drive and have no idea whats going on around them (most not ALL.) I always drive in the slow lane unless passing someone. My road rage is cause by stupid people(any sex) that pull out in front of me while I'm doing 55 and they do 35. Thats REALLY pisses me off.. oh and then they turn not even half a block away. Ever see Zamier in the movie'Office Space' stuck in traffic? Thats me... I've seen men do some outrageous stupid things too. When you really think about it, driving is not to be taken lightly, yet anybody can have a license.

I won't yell at you for your opinion (even though it is sexist and WRONG :P ). I have a split personality...there is me and then there is the driver who puts up with NO stupid driver...yes, there are bad women drivers. But there are just as many bad men drivers. I agree the people who drive in the left lane need to go back to remedial driving school...or be run off the road. And, for the most part, truckers are courteous and they do pay attention, although I've had some frightening moments with truckers flying up on my *ss and only switching lanes at the last second. I guess my point is DO NOT STEREOTYPE. All it takes is 1 bad driver to kill you...male, female, black, white, purple, trucker, mopedist, whatever!!!

Road rage is not caused by what other people do, it is caused by what people bring behind their own steering wheel.
If you have difficulty controlling your emotions while driving, please consider riding the bus.
Your road rage is triggered, not caused, by other drivers and you have serious emotional issues if another driver's habits cause you to react with rage.
Last week in Nashville, TN a passenger in one vehicle shot repeatedly at another vehicle because that vehicle did not yield the "right of way" fast enough. Fortunately no one was injured by the bullets, but it could have been much, much worse than it turned out.
From the reports I have read, men are more likely to experience Road Rage and perpetrate crimes on others while experiencing it.

Agreed. I wouldn't necessarily generalize to women. But it bugs me to no end when people travel in the left lane.

People who cut in and out of traffic and drive on my bumper make me angry. This bumper riding especially applies to truckers.
