I have long thought of this and although I am 6'0'', I cannot use the headrests when driving. I beleive they are only there to prevent whiplash in case of accidents.

The headrest is not really a place to rest your head. It is there to prevent whiplash in a collision...prevents the head from going too far back.

If you rest your head on the head rest dont you think you would run the risk of falling asleep.. to stay alert you should always sit up right and use hand free kit on the cell

i think the purpose of the headrest is when your stuck in traffic, it serves as stress reliever. hehehe! kidding aside, it serves as a cushion when your car is at high speed and can also serve as protector for the spine during car crashes.

i have not known anyone who rests their head while driving.. i think that is hard to do. the best thing to do is to move the driver's seat closer to the steering wheel (at least the back is resting!!) if there are people who do that, well, good for them for having long arms.. haha..

no. Headrests are meant to protect your neck in the event of an accident.

I feel like you feel, I am 5'3". You just can't look around you as you are driving to observe what is around you.
