My air conditioning in my 1995 Honda civic used to be nice and cold... over time the air became less cool and now it is just blowing warm air. I assume that my air conditioner was out of Freon or whatever they use. Does anyone know the cost of the repair or recharge? It has been 95 degrees+ and I can't take it anymore!

Original parts for the Honda are very expensive in my country [in the Caribbean]. My job takes me to Miami, New York and the Washington D.C. area at least once a month. Specifically close to the Manahattan, New York area; Coral Gables,Miami or Dulles, Virginia.

I would like to do some minor performance modifications to the ignition (e,g, MSD), air filter system and exhaust (e.g. extractor) systems to give the car a little more speed/acceleration. Suggestions welcomed.

I would also like to change some of the regular parts wipers, hoses and belts (air conditioning and timing) that are due to be changed ... and tune up parts spark plugs, oil filter, air filter etc.

I've thought of an older honda civic maybe an accord. I want automatic. And i do want a roomy one so that i can transport snowboarding equipment bikes etc. I'm an outdoors person. And PLEASE do not tell me to ge ta SUV. Thats probably not going to be practical for a first time car. I am not willling to pay more than 6,000 for a car. I CANNOT buy a newer honda. Anything before 1998 is what i'm looking at. Out of all the Hondas (small ones) which would be better for a snowboarder/outdoors person?
