YES you can 3 possible ways (sorry at work keep getting interrupted) 1. on some cars they are fused seperately (pull it it just feeds a relay) 2. buy an aftermarket automatic headlight control ( the type that has a timer unit to leave them on for a set time when you turn the key off ) when you install the off setting will override all factory settings) 3 one more most stereo/alarm places will do this for you they just bypass the relay (WILL NOT VOID THE WARRENTY-except on the lights themself - man it amazes me the things you see here) it everybody had them we would have more glare and see less ask a Canadian from a large city the only reason we have them is it's mandentory there and cheaper to put on all cars instead of seperate US/Canadian models

Those lights just annoy the bejeebus outta me. Cut the wires or pull the fuse or disconnect battery and alternator/generator or pull out the bulbs in daytime.
When I am driving my 2006 Honda I allways see the lights and they blind me. There orta be another law that will overwite the existing law that was enacted to generate funds for the previous law that allowed for more military spending and that law was supercceded by the original law that made it ok to use Oil Lamps as running lights and those were dangerous cause a forrest fire could happen that would have destroyed the country and the city that made the car and the lights that we pay so much to maintain in order to keep the Capalitistic system that we cherish with God on our side and have to defend it from the freethinkers that want a house.
Consumerism ROCKS!

You can find a way to cut the supply of power to your daytime running lights, but the question remains:
Why would you want to do that?
The lights are there for safety, to allow others on the road to see your vehicle.
Disconnecting the lights may also decrease the re-sell value of your car, as well as increase your insurance premium.
It most certainly would void your factory warranty.
Not a very good idea.

Well new cars from about the year '99 and up are starting to come with standard lights that are always turned on. But I guess there is a way to turn them off but you should only do so if you're a good electrition or know what you're doing because a bad wire cut could damage something else in your car.

Daytime running lights are a safety feature to help keep you safe, silly. Stop thinking about turning them off.

Why would you want to? Safety is a good thing.
Seriously, try putting on the parking brake just a tiny bit, not enough to engage the brake, just to the first click of the pedal or handle. This will work on a GM, not sure of Honda.

Are these lights used for any other purpose? Aside from tracking down the wiring and trying to find an inline fuze, why not just unplug the bulbs or remove them?

there is one trick to turning off daytime running lights - put your parking brake on 1 click - the lights will be off, and the brakes won't be engaged.

Is it possible to turn them off? Of course. BUT they are mandated by government and have been since 1991. It's doubtful you will get anyone to defeat them for that reason. You would stand a better chance convincing a dealer to turn off your airbags and take out your seat belts, also mandated.

Check out the Honda forums...should be a mod to rig up a cut-off switch.
