It doesn't matter what kind of vehicle you drive, to make any vehicle better you always can add parts to it, some are more expensive then others to fix up, also it depends on what you are looking for, performance, handling, all out speed, etc. and having a good driver definately makes a difference.
I don't believe any vehicle manufacturer can say their vehicle is all that.

I'd stick with the RSX... there's not a huge difference in the general styling and your Acura has a good platform for adding performance parts..... so why even bother with the Si?

My son owns a 2004 Honda SI and it's awesome! Blue metal flack paint factory low profile tires, awesome sound system, and it's pretty quick iwas surprised. Great gas mileage and it looks really good to. He loves it and Honda is one the most reliable cars on market my wife owns a 2005 Accord, V6, we call it the "Jet Ride" so i would highly recommend the SI .

I'd stick with the RSX. Only big thing the SI has over the RSX is LSD.

I'd wait for the type R - it's not far from production from what i read last week. They've made one (a concept, but meant to be close to the prod design) which is currently at the British Motor Show - http://www.honda.co.uk/motorshow/civicTypeR.html

Stock the way it is, i would say no. But with aftermarket products I would say yes. Most companies out there are already making parts for it to help boost up everything on it.
