some year and model Honda Had this engine. It was good on gas and hot on the road if you pute your foot in it. I need this engine or at least the head from one but do not know what it came in .

The VTEC-E was the engine used in the Civic HX from 1996 to 2000. I don't believe it was used any other time.

Sounds like you need information and, if you are serious, need it badly. If you are going to put in another engine I don't think you should settle for a SOHC when there are other stock higher performance options out there.

Try the late 90's Acura Integra engine. I've always heard that is the one that gets swapped into hondas.

My 98 Accord has a SOHC VTEC in it. It's the H22A.

SOHC stands for "singal overhead cam"...
