There is no track on the ceiling for a ceiling-mount, but there is a place on the floor in the 2nd row to put one. I would like the largest size monitor available, and really don't want to spend more than $200. Does such a thing exist?

For instance, I've seen where someone answered with a suggestion that, "it never hurts to overpower a sub as long as you don't give it any distortion".

This is totally false. Overpowering a sub is what leads to damage distortion or not.

He also suggest a higher powered amp than what's required and further suggest to "just turn the gain down".

This person claims to be an installer for 16 years and yet doesn't even know what the gain control is for. It's not a volume control knob!

The gain MUST match the RMS volts of the source or HU.

Furthermore, he claims that, "under powering a sub will cause damage".

This is also totally false as under powering a sub just means the output will be low. If you think about it, turning the volume down actually under powers a subwoofer. How will this damage them?

HardThinker, if your going to answer questions, at least give correct answers through research and stop guessing. You're suggestion will trash someones system.

pounding. I do listen to a little rap and a variety of other music also. But I don't care about having speakers that everyone outside my car can hear. I just love the feel of the pounding bass in the car. Also, what set up would you recommend. Free air, sealed, ported, isobaric, band pass, aperiodic? Thanks for your help

Bought the car new. My car stalled while i was driving at a low speed at a shopping mall. Went back to dealer and the service center said that the computer was missing a circuit (the stock radio has the missing circuit). Had to put back stock Head Unit. Now the car's computer center is "talking to eachother." Service center said the stock HU has an important circuit that is missing when my aftermarket deck was installed. Is anyone else having this problem? I was wondering if there is a way to work around this circuit thing. All I know is driving just isn't the same without my sounds bumping in the background. Please help??

I have a 2004 Sebring, and I want to get a new radio with XM, but I hate the look of mounting brakets that are basicly 2" fillers around the radio. So I was wondering if I could get the radio that comes in the new Sebrings and put it in my current one?

The original AM/FM/Tape unit in my girlfriend's 2002 Focus started to lose radio signal and then the tape drive started to drag as well. That unit was replaced with an AM/FM/CD unit about 4 months ago (thank you ebay).

That worked great until recently. The new unit is now starting to lose its radio signal much like the old one. Any known chronic problems with these radios?

Anyone know how to fix the bad radio?

Could the alternator on the car be blowing out the power supply on the radio?

Should I buy a Kia?

Thanks, Mike.
