JBL is going to give you the best overall sound out of the options that you gave. Boston has very good midrange but lacks in the bass as does Velocity and Pioneer. Alpine in my opinion is too expensive for the quality that it delivers. I would go with the JBL

I personally like the rich bass and sounds from Bose speakers. I plan on setting up a 6.1 Surround Sound Home Theater System in my home using the Acoustimass series cube speakers.

I would say boston acoustics... you should go to an electronics store (best buy) and try them out. Maybe bring a cd and see if the guys over there will let you see what they really sound like.

those are all solid subs i might pass with the Boston G5 myself I particularly have a sequence of the G1 and choose to get the G5s now, the two way it comes all the way down to the money you go with to spend and how complicated you go with to pound them. the two way with the 4 you have listed you would be satisfied
