I ran all all the speakers which are jbl's to my radio which is an alpine that all worked fine. then put the amp in the back ran the ground to the metal and ran the speaker wires to the speakers.I connected the rca jacks on the radio and the amp then i turned the radio on and put the power cord from the amp connected to the battery just to test it it wouldn't turn on the speakers would just pop and pop but the amp wouldn't turn on.how can i get the amp to turn on?

YOU DID NT SAY IF YOU HOOKED UP THE REMOTE WIRE . IF YOU DID NT DO THAT.ALSO CHECK ALL FUSES AND MAKE SURE THE GROUND IS CONNECTED GOOD.

You didn't hook the remote wire to your fuse box. This is pretty simple, but if you haven't done it before then you need to have someone do it that knows what they're doing.
But if you have already done that but forgot to mention it, then you must have your subs wired wrong and again you need to take the car to a pro so you don;t damage that expensive equipment.
The good news is that your stuff should sound great once you get it going! lol
