I have a 26 foot cabin cruiser. Want to put a lot of christmas lights on outside for a parade. I don't have any generator. I was thinking of an inverter off my battery but, I will be running at over 1,000 lights.
Can I buy a very small generator like one used to power outdoor tools. I think I saw one once that was very small and like 100 dollars.
What is my best option. I don't have a permanet place to mount a generator. It would have to be sitting on swim platform as to keep fumes away from cabin.

Not sure whether to get an engine with a single of dual mercruiser prop. Will be getting a 22 ft. open bow boat, mostly for cruising and kids water skiing & tubing. But we will keep boat in a shallow area that is weedy. Trying to avoid weeds wraping around my prop. Will one prop work better than the other...or is it something I needn't worry about?

I have a 21' 2004 Wellcraft V21 with a 150 Yamaha (outboard). I rarely use the boat. I know I don't want the fuel to stagnate. Should I run it once a week, bi-weekly - how long each time? 10, 15, 20 minutes?
Until I can sell it I want to keep the engine running smoothly.

My friend is going to vacation to the Keyes and we had an argument about which goes faster. She said a car goes faster than a boat but i think a boat goes faster b/c theres no stuff like traffic, lights, or stop signs in the ocean.

I'm starting to plan the purchase of an off-shore cruiser. I'm pretty sure from my research I want a twin diesel boat, at least 40 feet for sailing distances (eventually) up to 1500 miles. Any information I have been able to find at this early stage is heavily commercialised and not the fundamentals I am looking for. Can you offer any internet starting points/sound advice as the type of boat (model would be great) that I should be looking at.

Thanks in advance.

In particular, why is a submarine a boat, not a ship. When you look at a vessel in the water, how can you tell whether it is a boat or a ship.

From 2987-2007 were there any shipping/cargo ships that sunk or let all the stuff they were shipping out. Either from overloading or other reasons. I know there are many oil spills but I am interested in more like "the nike shoe spill" or something. Thanks!
