I'm going to the lake next weekend with my girl friends to go boating for like the entire day. When you're out on a speedboat, how are you supposed to pee? Clearly we can't come back to the dock every time someone's gotta go.

barr 5.7 gm in mercruiser setup. carb'd, thunderbolt type ignition. new parts- starter, solenoid, slave solenoid, ignition switch, batt. cables. all connections test out for proper continuity. all wires in proper place by schmatics. ok that being said! when the key is turned the engine will start but the starter doesnt disengage. if the key is pulled back to the "acc" position the engine continues to crank until the key is put in the "off" position. then starter will disengage and engine will shut down. upon restart attempt the same thing happens. im at wits end. the only thing that seems odd is the orange lead that goes from the starter to the altenator has contstant power even with engine down and key in off position. visually and meter tested all grounds for leaks. what am i missing? for the record this problem all started out of the blue with no warning, the engine ran fine then one day it got stupid! thanks

Anyone know where I can buy one of those build-yourself carports for my boat. I see people parking their RV's under them sometimes. It would have to stand up to the new england winters.

I'm sixteen years old, and I have a passion for the water and sailing. I read many books about boats, knots, everything there is to know. Now, I live on the east coast in a very nice area of Virginia. I told my dad that in the Summer I would like to take Sailing lessons or join the sailing club at school?

My dad said that...well, it hurt me actually. He said that it would be a bunch of rich kids with their own boats and I'd look ridiculous. I can work for it, I'll pay for it. This is my dream you guys. If I save my money, how much would sailing lessons be? And is this really true?

So you are done with the jetski or boat for now. And you have fuel in the boat or in fuel jugs. How long is the fuel good for?
Is the fuel mix here in California going to last until spring?

Second question is re fuel stabilizer. Yes or No?

There can't just be a key you turn to turn on the engines. Who would keep them? its so giant, is there just some big circuit that someone flips to turn on the power, and then the engines are automatically turned on?

I have a C&C Redline 25' sailboat. It has a tiller and an outboard kicker on the port side. I am wondering if it is possible to install a motor underneath the transom floor ( there is room ) and drill a thru-hull for a shaft so that i could eliminate the outboard kicker that throws my boat off balance? If this is possible, how would I go about do this? Any websites? Phone nums? Etc..? I am able to send pictures if anyone needs more information.

Best regards,

Josh

Ok so I have no fuel pumping through my lines. The fuel filter is empty unless I purge it from the fuel in line on the carb. When I pour gas into that fuel line direct to the carb it fires right up and runs on that gas. I blew air through all of the lines and none appear to be clogged although the craft has been sitting for a while. I suspect it is my fuel pump, however I just had someone rebuild the carb and he says everything is good. could it be anything else? please someone help I need to wakeskate!

Thanks a lot.
