Does anybody know of a website that itemizes the differences, however subtle, between air regulations in Canada and those in the USA? I will be flying to MN from Ontario and despite having many hours in Canada have never flown south of the border... mostly looking for general airspace rule differences, circuit and aerodrome procedure differences, etc. Thanks.

I assume, that lowering gear, flaps would interupt the airflow, change the c.g.(maybe) and slow the aircraft, would it slow down/stop a spin? I am using a single engine retractable gear higher end of the envelope aircraft, such as a Mooney.

on flight simulators, they have it so that you can look right and there will be a screen with the rightside view. i want to do that for Microsoft flight simulator 2004 at home. get what im saying? i want it so that i can look to left and ill see my left view and vice versa for the right. im not talking about IR tracking. just wondering if there is any hardware or software for this.

The only thing I like riding in is a car. I hate riding on planes because my grandparents almost died on one in a storm, and I hate boats because I'm afraid of something happening. WHAT SHOULD I DO!! I'm planning to go to Ireland in a couple years...

I saw this map somewhere online, showed several lines of aircraft on a flight tracking web site leaving the Super Bowl. It was pretty impressive, was hoping to find it.

Basically, I was wondering if airplanes use a device that rotates the wheels of the landing gear in order to prevent tire wear. Any airplane mechanics out there?

I had been asked to ferry a Grumman Tiger to have the annual inspection done. As I was taxiing out, I noticed that there was some interaction between the rudder and the ailerons because when I "S" turned the aircraft the ailerons moved in the opposite direction...

I performed the pre-flight, everything checked out fine. I lined up and took off then as I turned crosswind the left wing suddenly felt heavy. I double checked the fuel tank guages and they were both full. As I rolled into a downwind departure the heavy wing lightened up.

I thought about it for a moment and decided that I should make a precautionary landing to make sure. As I turned base the wing suddenly became "heavy" once more. On final approach the aileron pressure eased up again. I landed without incident and climbed out to make a more through airframe inspection. It took me half an hour to find it....

Can any other pilots figure out what the problem was?

the argument started because when u are in a vehicle moving opposite the speeding aeroplane, it appears to be stationary. just to clear a doubt tho' it seems ridiculous !

If you observe, a huge plane like Boeing 747 looks like its floating in the air just before landing or soon after take off; while a small ATR plane looks like its flying so fast after take off...
Does the speed differ or is it just an illusion?
